Goblin in Seoul: Three Confirmed Filming Spots With Map Links
This guide covers Seoul stops only. Guardian (Goblin) also filmed outside Seoul (Gangneung Jumunjin, Gangwon resorts/temples, Incheon sites, Canada). Those places are out of scope here.

Research note (2026-09-23, verification pass v2): Three Seoul spots meet confirmed: Unhyeongung Yanggwan, Gamgodang-gil, and Yongdap Station pedestrian bridge.
1. Unhyeongung Yanggwan (운현궁 양관) — confirmed

Skip / weak Seoul claims
Do not treat as confirmed without better sources: Ilgamho Lake (Konkuk campus — Yonhap only names museum-front filming), Seongsu “yellow wall” bookstore walks. Korea Times names the yellow used-bookstore craze at Hanmi Bookstore in Incheon, not Seoul Seongsu.
Lodging (nearby — neighborhoods only)
No hotel endorsements.
- Anguk / Bukchon / Samcheong — Best base for two of three confirmed stops (Yanggwan + Gamgodang-gil), both on Line 3 Anguk.
- Yongdap / Seongsu (Seongdong) — Separate Line 2 schedule for the bridge; plan as its own hop or overnight if that stop is the priority.
- City Hall / Jeong-dong — Only if you add the Deoksugung reported-as walk.

- Anguk cluster (Yanggwan + Gamgodang-gil): Line 3 Anguk (Exit 4 for Unhyeongung / Yanggwan side; Exit 1 for Gamgodang-gil per Jongno tourism).
- Yongdap bridge: Line 2 Yongdap — separate from the Anguk day unless you transfer (e.g. via Dongdaemun History & Culture Park or Wangsimni area hubs — check a live journey planner).
FAQ
Can I go inside the Goblin house (Yanggwan)?
Treat interior campus access as unavailable for casual visitors. Newsis (May 2026) states exterior viewing only from outside the Unhyeongung wall. If you cannot see the mansion, visit free Unhyeongung next door (VisitSeoul: closed Mondays) instead of forcing campus entry.
Is Gamgodang-gil the only “first meeting” place?
No. VisitSeoul frames Gamgodang-gil as a Seoul first-meet path; Korea Times frames Jumunjin (outside Seoul) as where the couple meet and speak by the sea. Deoksugung Doldam-gil is a separate VisitSeoul-mentioned wall near City Hall.
Were the seaside Goblin scenes filmed in Seoul?
No. Korea Times and other press highlight Jumunjin (Gangneung) and other non-Seoul sites.
